I am soooo happy this event is coming back.  I just love it so much because it gives me a buffer.  A real blogging break.  What am I talking about?  Well starting May 1 Anna at Herding Cats and Burning Soup is hosting Blog Ahead.  This is an event were you focus on getting blog post scheduled.  Since this one is a mini the goal is to get 14 additional blog post scheduled.

If you are not out shopping till you drop or the store closes hopefully you are getting a few hours of rest.  That is exactly what I am doing today and hopefully tomorrow too.  I have been so looking forward to this FOUR day weekend.  It's all about the nothing!  Doing nothing and enjoying it!

3rd Friday Five

Welcome to the third Friday Five here at My Little Pocketbooks.

Friday Five is the result of a Bloggiesta progress report, where I said cleaning up my Feedly of 300 blogs inspired an idea for a new feature on my blog.  Well, here it is.  The Friday Five! (and the name is still a work in progress).

Every Friday, I will feature 5 blogs here who I currently follow.  I will tell you a bit about each of them and hopefully you will check them out and add them to your list of blogs you follow as well. 

  When I was going through cleaning house on my Feedly, most of these blogs are good and I never notice them from all the others.  Just because I follow to many, I think it was from all the giveaways I use to enter. 

So take the weekend and check out these five bloggers and their blogs.  Leave them comments.  Enter their giveaways.

This feature will be alphabetically from my Feedly, some are considered BIG blogs and some of them are start ups but they are all blogging on a regular (sometimes).

Sunday Delight: I'm Back

I thought last week was busy and crazy.  Try coming back into town to a new job.  Wheew!  I haven't posted anything at all last week and it was causing me to have a pain in my heart.  I missed you guys.  But I'm back!

Today, I am going to try and get all of the post I was planning to post last week up in the next two days.  Hopefully!  That is the goal anyways.  I have two three book reviews to do as well.

The new job is good and closer to home.  Which my gas tank is loving right now.  I am happy about it too but it has shorten my audiobook time.  

Yesterday, I finally mailed off all the prizes to all my giveaway winners.  If you don't receive something soon let me know and I will make sure I didn't forget you.

Mini Bloggiesta: Goals

I posted about 2 weeks ago, another Bloggiesta is coming.  This is my post for my mini-Bloggiesta goals.  Oh what?!  You don't know about Bloggiesta.  OMG!  Where have you been?  Ok!  Now that my shock is over, let me tell you about the amazing Bloggiesta.

In short, Bloggiesta is a blogging marathon revolving around ticking off those items on your to-do list and improving your blog while in the good company of other awesome bloggers doing the same thing. Our awesome mascot Pedro (Plan. Edit. Develop. Review. Organize) is ready to break out the nachos, enchiladas, drinks, mariachi music and whack a pinata or two! How was you week?  Productive and full of good books and good food I hope.  I have to spend a day getting caught up (again) on reviews.  As of right now I have 5 quicky reviews and about 5 reviews to do.  That is a ton!  I have a late library book because I refuse to return it until the review is done.  So not writing a review is actually costing me money.  Not much but the principle is messed up!!!  Oh and I started a new books too.  ARGH!

  I am going to commit to doing Blogiesta again this year!  Never heard of it.  Well, about 100+ bloggers have signed up to this event.  Here is the basics of it.  This wonderful event was originally started four years ago by Natasha of Maw Books and has been passed down to Danielle @ There’s a Book and Suey @ It’s All About Books.  Bloggiesta is an event that bloggers everywhere look forward to twice a year.  From September 28, 2012 to September 30, 2012 bloggers commit to completely finish their Blogging To Do List.  And like all great blogging events there are mini-challenge giveaways and tons of Tweeting.  If you want to join the party, go to There's A Book and sign up.
