Dewey's Read A Thon: Wrap Up

I didn't make it!  At all!  Last October Read-A-Thon, I stayed up the whole time but this one...Well around hour 16 the computer or internet started slowing down, and I poured myself a glass of white wine.  I jumped back on the sofa and Viola...It's Sunday at 8am!  What???  Note for next Read-A-Thon..no wine!
Congratulations to all of the readers that finished all 24 hours and congratulation to all the readers that finished a book or more.
Here is my recap:

Dewey's Read A Thon: Hour 13-16

It' 5:07pm in Los Angeles and the half way mark is behind us now.  How are you doing?  I have to admit I took a nap.  Just a short power nap.  There is something about this sofa.   I am back at it again!
Challenges Completed: 10 out 12 (opting out of #9 since I won it last time and my answer is the same)
Pages Read: 18 pages of Love in the time of Cholera
10 Pages of An Old Song for Wrong Women (Complete)
  115 pages of Teenie
Commenting on several blogs
Snacks: 1 banana, 1/2 bag of trail mix, Jasmine Green Tea with honey and 1/4 of my Gallon of water, Greek yogurt with trail mix.  Tuna and crackers. Mango slices and more tea and water.

Dewey's Read A Thon: Hour 9-12

I'm baaackk!!!  I snuck out of the house during the last hour to get my eyelashes re-done.  I tried to read while sitting in the chair but it's really hard to read when someone his putting glue on your eye lids.  LOL!  Now that I'm back with my new flutters on and my tuna and crackers in hand (My favorite lunch!), here is my update:
Challenges Completed: 8 out 9 (opting out of #9 since I won it last time and my answer is the same)
Pages Read: 18 pages of Love in the time of Cholera
10 Pages of An Old Song for Wrong Women (Complete)
  67 pages of Teenie
Snacks: 1 banana, 1/2 bag of trail mix, Jasmine Green Tea with honey and 1/4 of my Gallon of water, Greek yogurt with trail mix.  Tuna and crackers.
Got my eyelashes done too!  And yes I am a slow reader.

Dewey's Read A Thon: Hour 5-8

It's now 9:06am and I am in the 5th hour of the Read A Thon.  So far here is my progress.
Challenges Completed: 5 out 5
Pages Read: 18 pages of Love in the time of Cholera
10 Pages of An Old Song for Wrong Women (Complete)
4 pages of Teenie
Snacks: 1 banana, 1/2 bag of trail mix, Jasmine Green Tea with honey and 1/4 of my Gallon of water.  On to the Greek yogurt.
I know that sounds lame but I took a shower and have been posting to two blogs.

Dewey's Read A Thon: Hour 1-4

It's 4:45am here in Los Angeles and I have my book Love in the Time of Cholera sitting next to me along with my fuzzy gray blanket here on the sofa.  For the next 24 hours it's all about the Read A Thon!!!  This year I will create a new post every 4 hours (hopefully) and update them as I go along.  Want to join in on the fun, go to http://24hourreadathon.com/ and see what its all about. They are giving away prizes and have some great mini-challenges.
**Disclaimer!  If my writing gets to be a little crazy, sorry but I haven't had my green tea yet!**

Dewey's 24 Hour Read A Thon

It's all about Saturday April 21st for 24 hours of non-stop book geek awesome with Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon!
This will be my second time participating in this event and I am soo geeky happy about the next one.  I wanted to really go big with it this year and stay at a hotel for the weekend so I could really make it an event.  But since my bills want to be paid and don't understand how cool this is.. I have to listen to them instead.
So I am working on "Plan B Read-A-Thon" from home.  I am in the process of getting my Read-A-Thon plan together.  I thought it be cool to share with all of you!

Ohh LaLa ~Lucca

The other day, it hit me that I have been blogging about books 99.9% of the time and less than .01% about purses.  Even though I have been shopping for purses all the time.  So every so often, I will post a new bag that I love and that's under $100.00.  I mean have you seen some of the prices of these pocketbooks lately.  I thought the gas prices were getting out of hand.

This weeks Oh LaLa goes to...

Bloggiesta 2012 ~Wrap Up

OLE! OLE!!  OLEE!!  This is the best event EVEERR! I love Bloggiesta!  This was the most (non-paid) productive weekend.   Ok let me back up a bit!  Friday I joined an online event called Bloggiesta.  Here is the basic outline of Bloggiesta!  From March 30, 2012 to April 1, 2012 bloggers commit to completely finishing their Blogging To Do List.  And like all great blogging events there are mini-challenge giveaways and tons of Tweeting.  All of this was hosted by Suey @ It's All About Books.

Why am I over the moon about sending 3 days blog fixin'?  Well for one, I have been putting off so launching the book club site because the To Do List was so overwhelming.  Even though Bloggiesta is over I still have a few things to finish up but the new site is launched.  Check it out at Mocha Girls Read!

So how did I spend my 3 days.

Bloggiesta Update ~Day 3

Good morning everyone!  This is day 3 in my Bloggiesta Fiesta 2012!  I got soo much done yesterday that I treated myself to a pedicure.  The only bad thing was when I got home my motivation to finish the list out died.
If you haven't heard of Bloggiesta.  The idea behind Bloggiesta is to keep our mascot Pedro  (Plan. Edit. Develop. Review. Organize) happy by spending these next three days working on perfecting your blog and connecting with other bloggers doing the same thing.
