Golden Clutch

After seeing Nicole Kidman with Keith Urban in one hand and a sexy gold clutch in the other, I had to do a little Internet window shopping for a gold clutch.  Since Keith Urban is not for sale.  Actress Nicole Kidman completely rocked her Versace halter, floor length dress on the Red Carpet at the Golden Globes this year and her clutch was the icing on the cake.  The perfect pocketbook piece!

When you are dressed to the nines and have to walk the red carpet, where do you put your lipstick, iPhone, ID and bank card?  This year's red carpet was all about the little clutch. Here is a look at just a few best and worst clutches from the 2012 Golden Globes.

"The Artist" Inspirations

After seeing the movie "The Artist" I fell in love with the fashion of 1920's all over again.  The costume department did a wonderful job with the dresses, hats, and of course the purses.  *swoon*  I think I let out a small ekk! when I saw the stereotypical beaded handbag of my 1920's dreams.

I just saw this movie last night.  I know this is a blog about books and purses (I am going to start that soon) but I just had to let you know ...

2012 TBR PILE Reading Challenge

Look!  I found another reading challenge to join.  And this one is perfect too!  I'm soo looking forward to having new space on my bookcase.  It has been over flowing with books ever since Borders closed there doors.  I loved buying so many books for nothing.  But when I got home with all the books from my second and third trip my bookcase began to look like an episode of "Hoarders".

With this challenge there are over 300 other blogs participating and their are prizes too!  And several host to help out!

Reading Challenge 2012...

Since I am starting a new blog and I have the book club books to read it has been really hard to find a reading challenge.  I really want to do one and finally I found the perfect one for me.  I have a ton of books on my bookshelf just sitting there looking at me day in and day out waiting for me.  So what better reading challenge then The Dusty Bookshelf Challenge 2012.  Jessica at Books: A True Story is hosting this challenge and it's like she was reading my mind.

I have over 20 books on my bookshelf and that does not include books I won and the few books for review.  Most of them came from 2 Borders book stores when they closed their doors last year.  I was happy sad!  Happy to get soo many books for soo cheap but so sad another bookstore was closing.

Here is my list of books in no particular order and in a small font to get it all in.
