In My Mailbox #16

Inspired by The Story Siren
This post is my weekly update about the shiny new books I have bought (I know I need to stop buying them), won (I love to enter giveaways) or received from authors or others.  As well as purses I buy or receive, of course!
Click the photo to go to Amazon.com or Goodreads.com to read more about the books or to purchase a copy.
I won a copy of Mockingjay on one of her Why I Love Wednesdays... Favorite Book Sent/Received in 2011 AND Giveaway.  Since then she added a book Teenie to the package since she had an exta copy.  Thank you so much Alexis!!
From Esowon Bookstore (Book signing)
I love the small independent Black owned book store and I love that they host my book clubs monthly meetings.  Every month they have some great book signings and I finally got off work early enough to go.  I made it to two of them this week.  Here is a link to their calendar.  Photos and more to come in another post.

From LA Book Fair
Sunday was the LA Book Fair at USC and I honestly was not planning on spending more than $20.00.  I know that is like one book and that was the plan but 7 books later...yep!  But wait!  I got 3 free books and only bought four.  And two of them I had to buy because my all time favorite author was there signing her latest book.  See if you can spot her.
True Prosperity: How To Have Everything by Yehuda Berg (Free)
Legend by Marie Lu (Signed by Author)
Black Geisha by Rachel Blaze (Both copies signed and one for free.  They both included a free music CD)
Murder in Vein (A Madison Rose Vampire Mystery) by Sue Ann Jaffarian(Signed by author)
The Wolf Gift by Anne Rice (Signed by author!!!)
Angel Time (Songs of the Seraphim) by Anne Rice (Signed by author!!!)

I am beginning to feel like a book hoarder.  Really!  I hope no one tells Bravo!  I think I will do a BIG giveaway (one day...maybe).  I am going to have to start a new rule of "one book in the house one book out the house."
What new and shinny new books did you get last week?
