What about an easy challenge with a great return?

Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon: Goals

Hosted by 24 Hour Read A Thon

April 25th.
It time for one of my favorite bookish events.  And this year I am planning on doing nothing but reading and reading as much as I can.
Yep!  No mini-challenges (except the 5th Hour Challenge I am hosting).  No chatting on other blogs.  Just reading!  I am not 100% on what I will be reading but here are a few thoughts.  I might change my mind mid day.

It's A Read-A-Thon's Wrap

March Madness and Take Control of Your TBR Pile
I just did two month long read-a-thons.
One, March Madness hosted by Cedar Station and the other one was TBR Pile Read-a-Thon hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer.
And I read more books in the month of March than I have in two good months.  I am a four books a month a person so completing 16 books is so amazing to me.  Yep!  16!
It so helped to have the month off from work too.  I see how other book bloggers do it now.  I spent a minimum of one hour every single day reading.  No matter what!  And that helped so much too.  I am going to try and keep that rule going as long as I can.
Hopefully, I can do half of this for the month of April.

Books Finished
~ *The Buddha in the Attic (audiobook)
~ *The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl (audiobook)
*Blue Lily, Lily Blue (audiobook)
*When the Emperor Was Divine (audiobook)

I know! I know! I know!
I know I just posted I was jumping on the March Madness Read-a-thon but I forgot about this one and so the plan is a bit different now. I am going to do both! Yes! Two read-a-thons.  One for just reading as much as I can and the other to read the pile of books here on my bookshelf. Yes! Just the books I own and nothing else.

http://novelheartbeat.com/2015/02/2nd-annual-love-for-books-readathon-sign-ups/
Hosted by Novel Heartbeat

Yeah!  A read-a-thon that fits perfectly into my schedule.  I love doing read-a-thons because they really motivate me to get a few dusty books off of my nightstand.
Starting today and ending on Sunday, Novel Heartbeat is hosting this read-a-thon and a giveaway as well to help get us me motivated to get some reading goals started.  You can join in anytime during the read-a-thon and "books do not have to be of the romance genre. You can read anything you like!"
For this read-a-thon I will post a new post to let you know where I stand.  But for now here are the books I would LOVE to finish.

Goal

Participate in mini challenge
Complete 3 books and start a new one

Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon: I'm Sleepy

Hosted by 24 Hour Read-a-thon

I am tired ya'll.  I have not read for the full 17 hours and I am not planning on doing the remaining 7 hours.  I am just too sleepy.  It's 9:31pm and I went to bed late last night.  So it is now catching up with me.  But I am happy to say two book are officially off of my DNF list.  Yep.  Two.  I have a ever growing DNF list this year.  The first year I started blogging I only had one.  Last year, two DNF books.  This year the list was over 5 and that is not cool.  I have been starting and stopping so many books this year.  I have no idea if it is me or if it's the books but I need to pile to stop growing.  Yep! That means I finish books I don't even like.  LOL!

So here are my stats

Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon: Morning Progress

Yeah!  One book in my completed list.  Now on to book two.  I decided like right now to just update here and there to let you know I am still here reading.  So here is what I have been up to so far.  By the way, breakfast is being made right now by my honey.

Sunday Delight: Not So Good Read-A-Thon

Good morning and Happy Sunday everyone!
OK!  So yesterday was the BIG Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon and of course I joined signed up.  This year the read-a-thon looked to be BIG and better than ever with the launch of the new website and a few new and improved sections.  I was so excited about it and I had my three books lined up.  One audiobook to listen to while I had to do things like drive, cook, clean and just for moving about the house; along with two unfinished books cluttering my nightstand.  Well, scheduled events, a headache and a sleepless night before all mixed together to create the perfect storm of not reading much.  I think the book I wanted to really finish was not interesting enough to keep me awake either.  Well, anyway as read-a-thons go this one was a NO GO for me!  Here is my not so interesting End of the Read-a-thon Meme answers.

Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon: Mid Event

Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon April 2014: Goals

http://24hourreadathon.com/
It's finally time to read all day long.  I am so thrilled this event is getting bigger and better!  It's the Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon ya'll!  This year I am doing to lock myself in my place, turn off the phone and read...read...read. Like a mad woman.  This time around I will not be hosting a mini-challenge but I volunteered to be a prize angel so I can focus on reading only.  I know, you know all about this event so I will not bore you with all the details.
