My 2014 DNF List

Every year I try my best to completely read every book I start before the end of the year.  This is only a habit I started when I started book blogging 3 years ago.  I have no idea where it came from but it's just one of the many rules I stick with to make blogging "fun".
I know there are a big group of book bloggers that have a 50 page-ish rule out there.  You know the rule.  If you get to page 50 and you don't like it then you just put it down and never pick it up again.  Sometimes you might get the urge to post the book info and file it under the DNF tag but I am a bit...different and my DNF list is too.

What do I call a DID NOT FINISH book?
If at the end of the year I have not finished a book because of the following reasons it becomes a DNF
1.  I put it down and forgot about it because I started something else.
2.  I lost interest in the subject.  This happens with Non-Fiction mostly.
3.  I ran out of time.  I was reading it and the year ended before the book.
4. I got to the halfway point and thought to myself "Why am I doing this to myself?  Just let it go!!"

I like to hold out hope there will be something good about a book past page 50.  Page 50 is still the intro and set up to me so I need more before I can put it down.

The 2013 DNF List

Every once in awhile I put a book down and never ever pick it up again.  Sometimes I have really good intentions of completing it.  In December I try and make a real good effort to read books I Did Not Finish reading during the year.  Sometimes Most of the time it is just one book.  but I am sad to say this year I have 2 books on the DNF list.  Both of them I will get back to one day, just not before 2013 ends.
Last year I had just one.  I never finished reading Love in the Time of Cholera but I did see the movie.  So that kinda counts?  Right?
