6 Degrees of Separation with Wild

Did you know that two authors host a monthly meme called 6 Degrees of Separation?  I didn't know really but after seeing the meme on Girlxoxo blog a few months and I thought it looked interesting and so I looked into it.  And yes there is a monthly meme!
Here are the detail.  Basically, they give you the fist book and you link 5 other books to it any way you can.  In case you have more questions, these are the official rules:

POC Books I Want to Read This Year

There are so many great new released books by people of color coming out this year. It just makes my TBR list grow by leaps and bounds.  I am going to be crushed by it one day.  As long as the list is virtual and not piling up in the house then I will be safe from being on an episode of HOARDERS.  Which is my worst nightmare!  Wait...Back on topic.
But there are so many books that have come out that I completely missed last year and the years before that.  So this year I am going to try my best to get to these 7 books by people of color this year.  There are more than 7 of course, but these are the ones that I have on my mind the most or have had on my mind for awhile.  Four of them I own already and the other three will be purchases and hopefully within my book budget.
This list will be a mix of new releases as well as oldies but goodies and they are not in any particular order.
Feel free joining me in posting about the POC books you plan on reading this year.

March 2015 Reading Queue

Reading Queue is a meme hosted by Book Tasty and Books: A True Story.
Welcome to the Reading Queue.
Last month I have been getting focused and I have to say I am loving it.  I read and reviewed more books than I had planned.  So this month I am at a bit of a lost on what to read next.  I have two books on my queue that I know for sure I am going to read.  One is the book club book of the month and the other is a book from a series I want to finish.  The other books listed will be from my bookshelf.  The place where my reading should be focused.  Since I am not commuting this month I will be reading books more than listening to audiobooks.
I have one audiobook to finish from last month and then I might get back to physical books for the month.
What is the reading queue all about?
Reading Queue is a monthly meme where you share what books you plan to read for the month. You can hop to other blogs and see what others are reading and maybe find someone reading the same thing as you! Or you can ask for people to vote on what you should read next if you can’t decide.

So here is what I have lined up for the month of March. (Click the covers to go to the books Amazon page.)

Cover Characteristics - Just Words

Hosted by Sugar and Snark
Each week we will post a characteristic and choose 5 of our favorite covers with that characteristic. If you want to join in and share your 5 favorite covers with the weeks particular characteristic, then just make a post, grab the meme picture (or make your own) and leave your URL in Linky (so we can visit).
You don’t even need to participate, just stopping by and saying hi would be great! Don’t forget to stop by the other participants!
Today we are going to show off pretty book covers with just words on them on them.  This is the first time since I started doing this meme that all the books featured  are books I have read. WOW!  AMAZING!  And of course...I will made this a diverse list of books (as much as I can).  Click on the book titles below to go to their Amazon page.

March 2015 Take Control of Your TBR Pile

I know! I know! I know!
I know I just posted I was jumping on the March Madness Read-a-thon but I forgot about this one and so the plan is a bit different now. I am going to do both! Yes! Two read-a-thons.  One for just reading as much as I can and the other to read the pile of books here on my bookshelf. Yes! Just the books I own and nothing else.
