Quicky Review #22: The Initiate, The Son and The Traitor

Welcome back to another Quicky Review.
A lot of the time I like to read short stories, prequels and free audiobooks that are short and sweet.  But why do a full review on a book that is say...80 pages long.  So I do Quicky Reviews for the shorties and children books as well.  Basically, the short stories get short reviews.
Here are just a few sentences on two books  (about 20 pages or less).
There are other Quicky Reviews for you to check out too and don't worry there will be more to come. I like short stories because most of them are FREE and I can get in and out of one in no time.

Complete your Divergent library with the Four stories!
Fans of the Divergent series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth will be delighted by "Four: The Initiate," the second of four stories, each between fifty and seventy-five pages long, set in the world of Divergent and told from Tobias's point of view.
"The Initiate" provides readers with a glimpse into Tobias's Dauntless initiation experience, including an epic game of late-night Dare; his first tattoo; the beginning of his passion for training new initiates; and his nascent understanding of the danger of being Divergent.

My Thoughts

This is a great audiobook.  And you will fall in love with Four a bit more.  I loved it and this novella gives you a more of his back story and why things happened the way they did.  Veronica Roth did a great job writing his side of the story.  If you liked Divergent then you will love this story.

Fans of the Divergent series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth will be thrilled by "Four: The Son," the third of four stories, each between fifty and seventy-five pages long, set in the world of Divergent and told from Tobias's perspective.
In "The Son," Tobias struggles to find a place in the hierarchy of the Dauntless. He also begins to suspect that a foul plan may be brewing within the Dauntless leadership and discovers a truth about his past that could greatly affect his future.

My Thoughts

Again!  GREAT Audiobook!  Let me say the narrator is excellent as well.  Aaron Stanford is FOUR!  And his voice is perfect for the character I have pictured in my head.  This was the novella that helps explain a few things brought up in Divergent's end.  Must read!  There are interesting tidbits about Four in this one.

Complete your Divergent library with the Four stories!
Fans of the Divergent series by number-one New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth will be excited by "Four: The Traitor", the fourth of four stories set in the world of Divergent and told from Tobias' point of view.
"The Traitor" takes place two years after "The Son" and runs parallel with the early events in Divergent. In this robust story, listeners follow Tobias as he uncovers the details of an Erudite plan that could threaten the faction system, and makes plans of his own to keep Abnegation safe. At the same time, Tobias is getting to know a new transfer initiate: Tris Prior.

 My Thoughts

This is a good one as well with the introduction of Tris into Four's life.  Now you get to see the other side of the relationship.  Four is really interesting.  Now I feel like I can continue on with the series.
