Book Blogger Hop: Good/Bad Books and Reapers

Hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer
Welcome everyone to another post of Book Blogger Hop (hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer). Each week there will be a new topic submit by a blogger and everyone can join in with their answers. You should join us! It's quite fun!  No really it is!

This Weeks Topic/Question

To you, what qualifies a book as good or bad? Are some books objectively better than others, or is it purely a matter of opinion?(submitted by Zeb)

My Answer

From the beginning of my book blogging journey this question has become easier and easier for me to answer.  It is 100% based on personal opinion.  There are so many books other bloggers rave about that I had to read due to the hype and they turned out to be a complete...FAIL! for me.  Then I will have a few books that are noting but 5 out of 5 stars.  When I read reviews from other bloggers I find out the one thing I loved they did not even notice.  So I is 100% based on personal opinion.
To get the 100% love from me a book has to be engaging, unique and straight up interesting.  The theme will change has my taste in books changes.

What do you think?   What qualifies a book as good or bad?

For several months now, I have been jumping on this meme hosted by Sugar and Snark featuring book covers.  I really enjoy it and I think I will continue doing it as long as they continue hosting it.  This meme is all about YA book covers (mostly) but I have added my Alysia touch to it and I am trying to add some diversity in my selections and mixing up the genres. Click on the covers to find out more information regarding each book.

Each week we will post a characteristic and choose 5 of our favorite covers with that characteristic. If you want to join in and share your 5 favorite covers with the weeks particular characteristic, then just make a post, grab the meme picture (or make your own) and leave your URL in Linky (so we can visit). ~From Sugar and Snark
