My Little Pocketbooks: New Reading Challenges for 2014

As I am getting my New Years Resolutions for 2014 together I want to pick a few reading challenges to help with my bookish goals. There are just so many reading challenges out there, it makes it impossibly hard to pick which ones to sign up for. I just keep telling myself to be realistic and not to get too carried away. Like I did last year. So this year I am going to try a few new ones and keep up with a few old ones.

Purpose: Read books by authors of color and/or with a main character of color

Purpose: It’s an alphabet challenge!!! The challenge is to read one book that has a title starting with every letter of the alphabet.

Purpose: I’m challenging myself (and you) to slow down, rewind a little bit and get to those books that we wanted to read SO badly before they were released but somehow got lost in the shuffle.
