2015 Audiobook Challenge: 1st Quater Update

Hosted by The Book Nympho and Hot Listens

This is my post for the 1st Quarter Update for the 2015 Audiobook Challenge.
I have to say that this year I have not been listening to as many audiobooks as I did last year.  Mostly I have not commuted as much but that is going to change soon.  If you didn't know I listen to my audiobooks on my 1 hour drive to and from work everyday.  Then I read physical books on the weekend.  Unless I am at the end of an audiobook.  I hate being the middle of my commute and an audiobook comes to an end.  I would rather end the book at home and start a new one on the road.

So here is my first update.

Sunday Delight: Another Challenge or Two

Happy 1st Sunday of 2015!
I have signed up for two more challenges and yes I know that was not my first intention.  I signed up for 13 reading challenges last year and failed at 3 of them.  This year the goal was to sign up for about have of that, around 7.  Well there are two more I want to add to the list, making it 9.
First I am signing up for:
http://momssmallvictories.com

Purpose:  Travel the world in books, of course! Expand your horizons and read books set in or written by authors from countries other than the one you live in. Visit as many different countries in books as you wish.
My Goal: For the year of 2015 I will 5 books set in another country outside of the U.S. and 5 books by non-American authors

The second one is not a reading challenge but a helping/motivating group that I saw on Tanya's blog.
http://www.bookaddictsguide.com/2014/12/08/book-blogger-organization-challenge-winterspring-2015/
Purpose:  To get my blog organized by June 2015.

My Goal: To complete each months theme and challenge.

So there they are the (hopefully) last two challenges I am planning on tackling for 201.  I hope!  God it's hard saying No! LOL!

Here and Now

Time: 12:01 pm
Drinking: Green Tea with Lemon and Honey
Eating: Apple Slices
Listening To: Gospel Radio on Pandora.com
Watching: Nothing much

2015 Reading Challenges

It's that time again everyone.  Time to pick your challenge.  Your reading challenges that is.
This year I think I took on way to many and I didn't knock them all out like I wanted.  Out of the 13 reading challenges I signed up for I completed only 11 of them.  So this year, I am only going to sign up for half of that because 13 is a bit over the top for me.  And let me tell you it was soo hard just settling for these and not signing up for 13 new ones. So here they are.  My Reading Challenges for 2015.

Diversity on the Shelf 2014: Wrap Up

 Host:  My Little Pocketbooks (me)
Level:  4th Shelf (19 - 24 books)
Completed 20 books and reviews.
(1 more book to review soon.)
I was so scared I was not going to complete the reading challenge I was hosting.  Boy that would have been sad.  My first year hosting and not complete the challenge.  That would not be a good look at all.
But...I DID IT!  I read more than the 19 books I thought I would red this year.
Here are the stats from the Diversity on the Shelf 2014 reading challenge.
Next year I will be hosting this challenge again and I will try and do 24 books.  Fingers crossed!  :)

Diversity on the Shelf: Approved Books pt. 11

Are you a participant of the Diversity on the Self 2014 Reading Challenge (aka D.O.T.S.)?  Did you have a goal this year to read more books by People of Color?  How are you doing?
Just in case you aren't hitting your goal or just want to find a few new titles to add to your collection here are what I like to call "Diversity Approved Books".   All of these books are by a person of color OR have a main character of color.
Sometimes these books don't get the love they should and hearing about them is so very rare.
You can see other books and review link ups by clicking one of the links in the side bar menu under the D.O.T.S. reading challenge button.
This is the last post of this years approved books.  Hope it helped!
Here are the last 12 books.
