Shelf Control: Happiness Like Water

http://bookshelffantasies.com/
Welcome to the a new weekly feature from Lisa at Bookshelf Fantasies called…

Shelf Control!

Shelf Control is a weekly blog meme where we blogger talk about the books we have.  From the Lisa's blog.."Instead of looking ahead to upcoming new releases, Shelf Control focuses on already released books that I want to read. Consider this a variation of a Wishing & Waiting post… but looking at books already available, and in most cases, books that are either on my shelves or on my Kindle!"
God knows I have tons and tons of books to talk about.
My Shelf Control pick this week is:

October 2015 Blog Ahead Challenge: Goals

Hosted by the awesome ladies at Herding Cats and Burning Soup and Caffeinated Book Reviewer

Hi everyone!  I am soo thrilled to announce this blogger event coming up next month called BLOG AHEAD!  What's the big deal about it?  Well for one, think about all the times you wanted to have a blog post go up but life, work, school, your friends and family came first.  Now just image if you had scheduled out a month of post before the cray-cray started.  That would be one more thing off your mind since your blog would be on cruise control.
Example: Today I am writing this post on 9/17/15 but you will not see it posted until... wait for it...9/23/15.  Voila!  I blogged ahead.
Get it! So here are my goals for this awesome, much needed and super wonderful event.

OMG!  I was soo shocked at the number of books with water on the covers.  There are millions out there.  Women swimming in it.  Men's chest covered in it.  So I thought I would focus on a color.  The color of water for me is blue.  And of course I made it extremely diverse adding POC authors and POC characters.  Click on the book titles below to go to their Amazon page.

Stuck in A Good Book Giveaway Hop 2015

http://www.stuckinbooks.com/2015/09/stuck-in-good-book-giveaway-hop.html

I haven't done a giveaway in a long, long time so I thought this would be the perfect one to get back into giving away books, bags and gift cards.
So far I have read a few really great books and audiobooks that were perfect 5 star reads.
One lucky US winner will get a paperback ARC copy of Counting by 7s by Holly Goldberg Sloan. This book is amazing and helped me get up and out of my reading slump.  I was hooked and you will be too.  I have an ARC of this book that was never opened so it's a new old copy.  LOL!

Quicky Review #31: No Way Out & The Emporer's Soul

Welcome back to another Quicky Review.
A lot of the time I like to read short stories, prequels and free audiobooks that are short and sweet.  But why do a full review on a book that is say... 100 or less pages long.  I do Quicky Reviews for the shorties and children books as well.  Basically, short stories get short reviews.
Here are just a few sentences one short story and one collection of short e-stories from a few months ago.
There are other Quicky Reviews for you to check out too and don't worry there will be more to come.

Bloggiesta Is Coming!

You know what's coming up?
BLOGGIESTA!!!
This year I am going to try and keep my To-Do list simple and just focus on the basics.  I am not going to work on both blogs.  I am going to focus on this one only for now because I feel like I have the most work to do here.

Some of you may be wondering what exactly is Bloggiesta and/or when is it?

In short, Bloggiesta is a blogging marathon revolving around ticking off those items on your to-do list and improving your blog while in the good company of other awesome bloggers doing the same thing. Our awesome mascot Pedro (Plan. Edit. Develop. Review. Organize) is ready to break out the nachos, enchiladas, drinks, mariachi music and whack a pinata or two! It’s nothing short of an awesome fiesta! - Bloggiesta Website
