Faves Month Introduction

This month three bloggers are hosting a month long linky meme thing to promote your favorite things.  And guess what?  There is a giveaway too!  I love events with giveaways.
Here is the official blurb.
All December-long, Girlxoxo, Traveling with T and Estella’s Revenge will be sharing our fave bookish (and sometimes not-so-bookish) experiences from throughout the year AND we want YOU to join us! The schedule of topics is posted below – in some cases, we’ll be joining with other bloggers events – and other times, one of us will be hosting a link-up. Plus, there will be 3 GIVEAWAY WINNERS for a book of your choice from Book Depository. Every time you post on one of the topics below, and join the Linky on one of our 3 blogs – you’ll be entered to WIN!

Faves Month Introduction

About YOU and Your Reading this year (eg. fave genre, fave author, how you read (percentage (%) physical, eReader, audiobooks), when you read, what genre did you read the most from this year, which author was most prolific on your reading list, how many books did you read, give us a clue about what your fave book read this year is – but don’t tell us – let us guess!) – link-up hosted at Girlxoxo

This is was not my normal as far as reading goes.  Due to crazy busy schedules, new projects and a whole lot of stuff going on, (and a new man) I had a longer than usual reading slumb and most of my reading was in audiobook form.  (If you go to My Library you will see a number of * next to book titles.  Those are for audiobooks.)  Yes audiobooks.  I think but I am not a hundred percent sure but my reading this year was 85 to 90% audiobook.  That is 100% more than any other year.  I feel like it has slowed down the number of books I read all together.
This year I read a few great authors like Rebecca Walker (new to me author), Mitch Albom, Bret Crawford (new to me author) and Veronica Roth (new to me author).  As you can see fiction is my thing.  Nothing specific just fiction.  I like YA, historical fiction, contemporary fiction just fiction mostly.  But the authors I read most from this year are series writers.  You see, I was trying to get a few unfinished series off my list this year.
So far Goodreads has me at 51 out of 55 books read this year.  I am planning on completing my goal of 55 books this year.

Hints to my favorite book...I am not sure what it is yet.  I have a few to read and there were so many good ones this year I have no idea how I am going to pick just one.

What were some of your favorite books this year?  Did you read more than you thought you were?  Tell me about your favorites.  Join in on the All-December meme and linky up your answer on one of the three blogs up top.
