This Weeks Topic/Question
What is the highest number of books you received in one day either in the mail or from UPS or FED EX? (submitted by Elizabeth)
My Answer
I think I might (maybe not) have the highest number so far. Are you ready for this? At one time FedEx has delivered to my place a total of ....
250 books!
250 books!
No joke! And this has happened more than once. I know right!
Insane!!
My place looked like a Barnes and Nobles bookstore. Here is the story.
Every October is Mocha Girls Read book club anniversary. For the anniversary publishers like Simon and Schuster send a free book to all members via me. Yep! Last year there were more than 250 books going out to the 400+ members.
I also sent myself BEA books. I think I shipped more than 100 books from New York to California via FedEx and the post office. Thank God I have a cousin who works for FedEx.
I know the FedEx guy was not happy about lugging those boxes up the stairs to my apartment.
Sorry FedEx but you did make me happy!

For the past two months I have been jumping on this meme hosted by Sugar and Snark featuring book covers. I really enjoy it and I think I will continue doing it as long as they continue hosting it. This meme is all about YA book covers (mostly) but I have added my Alysia touch to it and I am trying to add some diversity in my selections and I am mixing up the genres.
Each week we will post a characteristic and choose 5 of our favorite covers with that characteristic. If you want to join in and share your 5 favorite covers with the weeks particular characteristic, then just make a post, grab the meme picture (or make your own) and leave your URL in Linky (so we can visit). ~From Sugar and Snark
