Wicked Valentine's Read-A-Thon: Wrap Up

Wicked Valentine's Read-a-Thon
Feb. 7 - Feb. 14
And Done!!!...I completed my first Wicked Valentine's Read-A-Thon.  Whoot!  Whoot!  *throwing kisses*  I had a great time and I am going to be jumping in on this one again next year.  Orginally, I planned on accomplishing these goals:
1.  Complete 2 book.
I think I will finish Sway on my ipad and Absent on my nightstand.  They have been there awhile and I would like to finish them sooner than later.
2.  Complete 1 review
At least one.
3.   Enter at least 3 Challenges
4.  Join the Twitter chat at #WWReadathon once.
5.  Visit 5 new blogs.
I think if I pick 5new to me blogs to visit every day then that seems more realistic.  Cause my boss might be curious as to why I am at my computer all day long.
So here are my end of Read-A-Thon results:

What I Am Listening To...

Pocketbooks to Show Your Love

I love Valentine's Day!  I love the colors of the holiday and the meaning behind it all.  I even try and get a new red or pink outfit together for the day.  Nothing over the top like a red heart shaped sweater.  Nothing like that all.  I try to keep it simple and just a little something to show my love.  LOL!  But I this year I might switch it up and just get a pocketbooks to show my love.  I was window (online) shopping and ran across a few cute Valentine's Day inspired purses.  Maybe just a new purse!  I love having an excuse to buy a new bag.  Look what I ran across.  Click on the image to go the shop and see for yourself.

Black History Month: Best Inspirational Books

I love getting a boost every once in awhile.  Sometimes we all need them!  There are some amazing inspirational books out there that are just what the doctor ordered.  The books below are by Black Authors but are not just for Black folks.  They are meant to uplift your spirit, get you on the right track, and help you break a few of those "bad" habits.  Here are just a few inspirational books by Black Authors that I think are wonderful and you should check them out.  Trust me you'll see why.

Wicked Valentine's Read-A-Thon: Progress Report

Wicked Valentine's Read-a-Thon
Feb. 7 - Feb. 14
Here is my progress on this week long Read-A-Thon.  I love them because I get so motivated to read above and beyond my usual reading stats.  Usually, I read a book a week or less.  I am going to aim to finish three books that I have started.
Sway by Amber McRee Turner
Absent by Katie Williams
Rescue by Anita Shere
If there is a complete Red Sea Miracle and I complete these books before the Read-A-Thon then I will pick one of the following:
Silver Sparrow
Sugar
The Shoemaker's Wife
