It's that time of the month.  No not that time of the month!  LOL!  It's the last day of the month and here at My Little Pocketbooks that means it's time to announce the winners of all the giveaways.  With all the giveaways starting and stopping it's soo much easier to just do one winner post a month.  Just saving a few step.  Let me say a big THANK YOU to all you for stopping by, commenting, following and entering the giveaways!
So now on to the August winners.  There were a total of 13 giveaways this month and 44 winners.  Congratulations goes out to a ton of people...

Challenge: Operation TBR Reduction

Operation TBR Reduction Button

During Bout of Books Week I ran across this button and had to click it to see what it was all about and low and behold a Challenge with my name written all over it.  Honestly, this could be named "Alysia get some of these books read before you bring more books into the house challenge."  But that would be way to long!  And won't look so cute on this button.
Stephanie at Once Upon a Chapter is just like so many of us book hoarders but is actually doing something about it.  Check out the details below:

Cover Reveal: Perception

PERCEPTION is a ( SF/mystery/romance) Young Adult novel that takes place in the not too distant future in a world changed by climate extremes, natural disasters and impending wars, and where scientific breakthroughs cause class divisions—both financially and philosophically.  It explores the clash between faith and science and how differences can separate us as enemies or alliance us together. And in some cases, even in the midst of betrayal and personal crisis, there’s room to fall in love.
This is the first book in a planned three book series.

Book in the Spotlight & Giveaway: The Winemaker's Diner

by Dr. Ivan Rusilko and Everly Drummond

Book Description
Recently named executive chef at one of Miami Beach's hottest restaurants, Jaden Thorne is determined to make her culinary mark and fulfill her professional dreams. When Jaden is given highly coveted tickets to the ultra-exclusive Winemaker's Dinner, she jumps at the opportunity to meet South Florida's wealthiest and most influential food and wine enthusiasts. Jaden's eyes are drawn to the VIP section even before the appetizers appear, but she soon finds herself thinking less about networking and more about the intriguingly sexy stranger eying her from across the room. After dinner, what begins as a lighthearted flirtation unexpectedly catapults into a night of explosive passion. But when morning dawns, Jaden leaves her sleeping Mr. Oh So Sexy behind, sure they'll never see each other again. Dr. Ivan Rusilko, a handsome, young physician, boasts an extensive resume' and a well-established position on Miami Beach's social scene. But despite his success and glamor, he's routinely had to suffer uninspiring dates and doomed relationships. With a romantic heart, Ivan's not the "love-'em-and-leave-'em" type. But when he awakens to find that the girl in the red dress has done exactly that, he resolves to find her--only if it's just to ask why she left without even a kiss goodbye. The Winemaker's Dinner is a fictionalized erotic memoir inspired by the romantic triumphs and tragedies of Dr. Ivan Rusilko's real life. Weaving fact with fantasy, authors Everly Drummond and Dr. Ivan Rusilko have gifted readers with a swoon-worthy, flesh-and-blood romantic hero and the intoxicating bouquet only a heartfelt tale of passionate love can create.

Book in the Spotlight & Giveaway: Blood of Anteros

Blood of Anteros (The Vampire Agápe Series Book #1)
Author: Georgia Cates
Buy the Book: Amazon

Book Description
I was tantalized by the mystery of her. The leech inside me came out to find prey, but found none in this enigmatic girl. The close proximity of her essence didn’t entice the monster within, so what did that make her? I had more questions than answers, but one thing was unmistakable; although she released me from her embrace, her hold on me remained.
Cruel circumstances turned Curry Brennan into the wretched monster he hates and refuses to accept, but when an expected turn of events releases him from the bond of his obsessive maker, he returns to the home he knew 161 years earlier and finds the return of happiness and joy in something he didn’t know existed. Puzzled by his growing attraction to Chansey Leclaire, a human, he is unable to resist the captivating relationship that threatens to reveal his existence as a vampire. He eventually discovers the reason he was destined to find what he didn’t know he searched for and is faced with the cruel realization that the living and the immortal undead will always be separated by one thing. Eternity.

Giveaway: The Super Spies and the Cat Lady Killer

Book Description
This book opens in a small town in Michigan where fifteen-year-old Sarah Cole is stuck spending the summer at her Aunt and Uncle’s with her sister, Lacey. She’s not happy with the situation until she befriends a girl named Jackie. The three girls stumble upon the ruthless murder of a reclusive neighborhood woman. One of the officers investigating the crime believes the girls are responsible for her death. Fearing that this officer will frame them for the murder, the girls organize their own detective squad. They become the Super Spies and start their own fact-finding mission. The Super Spies can’t understand why anyone would want to murder the “Cat Lady” until they start digging into her past and discover a horrible crime that happened thirty years ago. They uncover a connection between the two crimes and attempt to bring this information to the police, only to be reprimanded for meddling in the inquest. Not only are the girls upset by the admonition, but they also struggle with the fact that their exuberant investigating could provide a legal loophole allowing the killer to go free. To make matters worse, the police don’t even believe them. Frustrated by this turn of events, the Super Spies realize it’s up to them to snare the Cat Lady killer.

This Blog is Cleaning House!

I will not be a Hoarder!  I will not be a Hoarder!!
Clean house is going to go on every single month from now on to whenever at My Little Pocketbooks.  Every month I will be picking a winner who will be able to pick three (3) books from the list below.  Why am I doing this?  Basically, I'm really trying not to be on the next episode of "Hoarders" or "Buried Alive".  My bookshelf is over the top and now I need to let go.  Especially of the books I have not read and I have no plans on reading this year.  So by the time this year is over I would have removed 15 books and tons of swag (3 books a month for the next 5 months) from my casa.   I might do this all of 2013 too!
